Belize, located in Central America, is renowned for its rainforests, pristine beaches, and ancient Mayan ruins. The country, bordered by Mexico, Guatemala, and the Caribbean Sea, has a population of 400,000. English is the primary language, with Spanish as a secondary language, and the minimum wage is $2.50 USD.

With 40% of families led by single parents, Belize faces significant challenges related to poverty. Efforts to address this include government and community programs. Churches play a vital role by supporting single mothers through feeding programs, after-school care, health services, and discipleship.

I am so blessed by Derrick Pitts with God Cares Ministry. Since meeting Derrick a couple of years ago we have been able to connect with ministry within Belize. Because of Derrick and his wonderful relationships our non-profit Respond has been able to train Pastors and Church Leaders in Punta Gorda. What a blessing Derrick is to the country of Belize. I look forward to many more conversations and fellowship with him while also joining together to make a difference in Belize.
